A note from a local turtle advocate…“I’m seeing a lot of beach visitors leaving holes, castle moats, trenches etc. in the sand when they depart. It’s turtle nesting season and when they hatch the baby turtles can have a hard time making their way across the sand to the ocean with these holes in the sand. Wondering if you might put out a suggestion to everyone – but especially to those who rent their units – to make people aware and ask they fill in any holes they create.”
